How to use a presta valve.
Pumping up a presta valve is somewhat different from using a schrader valve.
You just unscrew the valve pin and place the pump onto the valve.

The adapter effectively converts your presta valve to a schrader valve so that you can use a traditional air pump to inflate it.

Place a presta nut over the valve and turn it clockwise until it is seated next to.
Be careful to only unscrew the valve until its loose.
Carefully place the head of the pump over the valve being careful not to bend the valve pin.
Press down on the nut to make sure the valve pin is not stuck.
Unscrew the knurled tip of the presta valve all the way counterclockwise.

Remove the plastic cap if the valve has one.
Place your bike on a mount upside down or however you normally do to pump up the tires.
Attach your air pump and inflate the tire to the recommended pressure.
Pump up the tube.
