Take a thread from the spool on the other hand and insert the thread through the loop.

How to use a needle threader to thread a sewing machine.

This is a brief two minute video showing the use of the automatic threader on a brothers sewing machine.

Hold the handle of the threader between the thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand.
Check the top of your machine for a diagram before you place your thread spool.

Place your thread spool on the spool pin.
With my janome sewing machine i took the time to work out how it actually works and i can now thread the needle with the automatic needle threader first time every time.
Needle insertion may vary with machine model depending on the machine requirement for the flat side of the needle.

Place your spool of thread on the top of the sewing machine on the spool pin.
Take threader in one hand and thread in another hand.
Place the wire through the eye of the needle a needle threader.

Insert the diamond shaped wire through the eye of the needle bringing the needle into contact with the handle.
Inset the wire loop to the needle eyes and bring the threader body close to the needle.
